Ceramic fibre-based shoes result in less dust and cooler stopping. This will promote brake life by reducing wear and thermal shocking to the drum.
Ceramic fibre has been proven to excel in fade, wear and resistance tests compared to similarly priced semi-metallic frictions. It also outperforms with better brake coefficients. This means excellent stopping in ALL conditions.
Along with Wollastonite and Vermiculite, Ceramic Fibre is one of Silverback's three key Non-Asbestos Organic (NAO) additives, making all of our frictions 100% Asbestos free.
